Dear business partners and customers,
heute informieren wir Sie über die Gesetzesänderungen bezüglich der LKW-Maut in Deutschland.
From December 1st, 2023 there will be an adjustment to the toll in Germany between 40% and 83%.
For standard vehicles such as 40 ton trucks with emissions class EURO6, the toll will be increased from €0.19 per km to €0.35 per km. This represents an increase of 83%.
How high the CO2 toll will be cannot be said in general terms, but depends on the circumstances of the respective transport requirement.
Another important step in the realignment of the truck toll is that the CO2 emission classes are being introduced as a new tariff feature. The basis is a surcharge of €200 per ton of CO2 emissions, which is generally levied for all vehicles with a technically permissible total weight of over 7.5 tons; an expansion of the toll-paying vehicles from 3.5 tons is also planned for July 1, 2024. How high the individual surcharge will be on top of the current toll for the individual vehicle depends on the emission class.
The increase is intended to contribute to maintaining or expanding the extensive German rail and road network.
We thank you in advance for your understanding that we have to pass on these costs directly to our clients and look forward to further cooperation.
