How can you stand out from the multitude of companies in order to attract highly qualified young people and keep them in the company in the long term? A challenge that the TransInvest Group, parent company of Militzer & Münch, is meeting with the Talent Management Program.
The TransInvest Group has been taking precautions for eleven years now: in 2011, it launched the group-wide Talent Management Program (TMP) to promote its own young management talent. This year, 21 promising talents are taking part in the exclusive young talent development program that TransInvest is organizing in cooperation with the Institute of Supply Chain Management at the University of St. Gallen.
“We are proud to offer our young talents this training opportunity and to be able to fill vacant top positions with our own management talent,” says Alexei Kovalenko, Chief Financial Officer, TransInvest and Militzer & Münch and spokesman for Militzer & Münch Group Managements.
The majority, 13 of the hopefuls, come from different national companies of Militzer & Munch. At the end of April, in the first part of the part-time module series, they were able to get to know not only the campus but also the Swiss headquarters in St. Gallen. Alexei Kovalenko and Ralph Stadler, Head HR TransInvest Holding AG, welcomed the participants and introduced the series of events. Over the course of three days, the participants covered the topics controlling, supply chain resilience and process management. Christoph Hollenstein, Head of Group Controlling Militzer & Münch, gave exemplary insights into TransInvest’s controlling. Guest lecturers from renowned companies and chairs then explained the relevant scientific context and discussed current challenges such as the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and delays in global supply chains.
“The discourse that arises from the input of our young talent and the diverse experiences of external managers is a very effective way to respond to changing values with the right answers and to maintain innovative strength and competitiveness,” says Alexei Kovalenko.
In addition to interactive group tasks, the joint evening activities promoted cohesion and encouraged not only strategic-technical but also personal exchanges.
The participants will complete two further units over the course of the year, partly online and partly on site in Istanbul, and conclude with a group presentation. The young talents will then support management in various national companies in identifying interesting opportunities and expanding local business.
