Difficult conditions for transporting components for a compressor station to Bozoi in Kazakhstan – the perfect order for Militzer & Munch. “The order was really tough,” says Nikolaus Kohler, Regional Managing Director Middle East / Central Asia. “We had to transport five complete gas compressor units from Europe via Russia to Kazakhstan. We were happy to be able to rely on strong teams in Germany, Russia and Kazakhstan.” Militzer & collected the components from England, the Netherlands and Germany. The freight was first stored there and then transported to the construction site in Bozoi in 36 trucks. The components from China were stored in Shanghai before they reached Aktobe in Kazakhstan by train in 35 containers and were transported by truck to Bozoi. When completed, the new pipeline will be 1,475 kilometers long. The first part of the pipeline went into operation in 2013, the second part in 2015. The Kazakh government initiated the final construction phase, including several compressor stations, in 2017.
