Today we are informing you about the introduction of the Romanian e-Transport system and the associated obligation (for the Romanian importer or exporter) to obtain a so-called UIT number for certain transports of goods to and from Romania.<\/p>\n
According to the Government Emergency Ordinance (RNV) No. 115\/2023, significant changes will be introduced which, among other things, affect the \u201cRO e-Transport\u201d system and will come into force on July 1st, 2024<\/strong>.<\/p>\n With the publication of RNV No. 115\/2023, the scope of the RO e-transport system was expanded so that in the future there will be a reporting requirement for the international road transport of goods, regardless of the type of goods. As a result, the marking of deliveries and the creation of unique transport codes (UIT) in the RO e-Transport system now applies both to the road transport of goods with high tax risk within the Romanian territory and to the international road transport of any goods. This is provided that the existing exemption limits of 10,000 RON (~2,000 \u20ac) or 500 kg per shipment are exceeded. <\/p>\n When importing the goods, the recipients of goods in Romania must apply for a UIT code as part of the e-transport procedure and hand it over to the sender immediately upon loading. The code must be presented by the driver in the event of a check in Romania. To generate a UIT code, users must provide the data of the transport in the RO e-Transport system no later than three calendar days<\/strong> before the date indicated as the start of the transport, but in any case at the border crossing when entering Romania or at the place of import or when the vehicle is actually put into operation. <\/p>\n The UIT code is valid for five calendar days, and for intra-Community acquisitions for 15 calendar days, starting from the date indicated at the start of the transport. It is forbidden to use the UITCode once it has expired. <\/p>\n To obtain the UIT code, the applying importer must also, among other things, M&M Militzer & M\u00fcnch Germany can be entered as the freight forwarder, border crossing point, truck\/trailer license plate, customs tariff code, description, quantity, net weight, gross weight and value.<\/p>\n Since the procedures for transports to private individuals regarding obtaining the UIT code are currently unclear, any B2C shipments (subject to UIT) for Romania must initially be excluded from July 1, 2024. If there is any further news on this, we will inform you separately. <\/p>\n High penalties (up to \u20ac20,000.00) can be imposed for non-compliance, so we ask you to coordinate the procedure with the specialist departments and inform your employees about it.
