Over the past century, the small forwarding company that was founded in 1880 by Richard Militzer and Werner Münch in Hof/Saale, Bavaria, has grown into a logistics company that connects worlds: with committed employees, many years of experience, regional expertise and the courage to keep breaking new ground.

Holger Seehusen

Holger Seehusen is in the management of M&M Germany for the Air & Sea, as well as Director Business Development for the entire group. He looks back on 25 years of work, including at Rhenus Revival GmbH, the CIS specialist within the Rhenus Group – he worked in Frankfurt and Kiev for six years – and as head of Southeast Asia with a total of five years abroad in Singapore, Hong Kong and Bangkok. Since July 2018, he has brought with him a wealth of experience and his own insight into the dynamics, size and volume of the pure inner-Asian market.

Viola Rockelmann

Viola Rockelmann is in the management of M&M Germany in charge of finance & Administration responsible. Viola Rockelmann is a trained freight forwarding clerk and qualified business economist and has been working at Militzer & since 1995. Munch. Since 2009 she has been responsible for accounting, controlling and finance at the German Militzer & Münch group.

Thomas Winter

With more than 20 years of professional experience, Thomas Winter is an expert in the global freight forwarding and logistics business, including working for M&M Militzer & Münch GmbH as branch manager from 2011 to 2016. He has been back on board the Militzer & Münch Group since May 1, 2019. Thomas Winter is responsible for land transport in the management of M&M Germany.

Specialist in freight transport to North Africa

1880

The founders of Militzer & demonstrated a pioneering spirit. Münch when they laid the foundation stone of the company 140 years ago with a rail freight company. The experts from Militzer & Münch, who built up the air freight business in the middle of the last century and in the following decades developed groupage transport by rail and truck to Afghanistan and Iran. From then on a promising future opened up.

1930

As early as the 1930s, Militzer & Münch took over the freight agency for important shipping companies and the then young airlines. In 1949 Militzer & Münch appointed official IATA agent. It then continued with the establishment of branches that were crucial for the expansion of the air and sea freight business, such as the branch in Hamburg and the first air freight center at Frankfurt Airport, which opened in 1962.

2000

Militzer & Münch was one of the first companies to venture into the new emerging markets for their customers and to successfully establish their services there. With undiminished enthusiasm, Militzer & Münch is now expanding into new fields of logistics and expanding its services as an efficient partner for customers.

In keeping with our claim of “responsibility for tomorrow,” we have introduced an environmental policy that considers and evaluates all processes from economic and ecological aspects. Because we are committed to protecting the environment, this policy governs our dealings with interested parties. It will be adapted to new developments if necessary.

Quality, environmental protection, occupational safety and health protection are part of our company’s self-image and make an important contribution to the company’s success. The environmental policy is made available in digital form by the environmental officer and published on the company’s homepage.

ISO

Standardized quality requirements within the M&M Group, as well as internal training and audits, contribute to strengthening the quality awareness of our employees. These high requirements ensure excellent service and thus form the basis for our ISO 9001:2015 certification.

AEO - authorized economic operator

The AEO status, as an internationally recognized quality seal, identifies the operator’s role in the logistics supply chain as secure and at the same time confirms compliant and efficient customs procedures. This status is not mandatory, but it allows faster access to certain customs procedures. Furthermore, the customs clearance of individual shipments can be accelerated if the company is registered as an AEO member.

IATA

The International Air Transport Association is the trade association for the aviation industry and therefore represents over 260 airlines and 83% of the total air traffic volume. IATA represents the interests of airlines and monitors industry-specific principles and regulations. As a member of the international air transport association, M&M is authorized to create air waybills in its own name. For our customers, this means more flexible and faster processing of their shipments.
